May May is a 10 year old girl from Petalburg
City. Her intention is only to travel and not to be a trainer. At first, she was afraid of Pokemon, but now she really loves
them, throughout her journeys with Ash. She has now dedicated herself to become a Pokemon Coordinator and win ribbons with
her Pokemon. Her father is the Petalburg gym leader, Norman and her brother is Max. She is sometimes an absentminded, dense,
and funny girl, but those are what I like about characters ^_^ They have to have SOME weak points. She is a lot like
Ash was too, doesnt know much about Pokemon and is a not-so good of a battler, but she's learning and becomes a great coordinator.

There is a song called, " This is a Call " by a band called Thousand Foot Krutch. Some of you may
know TFK from the ps2 'MLB 06' soundtrack. Anyways, half of the song discusses a girl that smiles all the time, but doesn't
really 'open up' to people. I guess you could relate that part to May (except for the part about the cancer), but it's the
second half that is my favorite. It talks about a boy who always brags because he's bored with his life, and ''fights so you
won't ignore him''. And, I swear, the whole song matches up perfectly with Ash. As you read the lyrics, try to think about
them as describing Ash. It fits, doesn't it?
"This Is A Call"
She
fooled all of her friends into thinking she's so strong, but she still sleeps with her light on,
and she acts like It's all right on, as she smiles again
and her mother lies there sick with cancer,
and her friends don't understand her,
she's a question without answers,
who feels like falling apart.
She knows, she's so much more than worthless,
but she needs to find her purpose,
she wonders what she did to deserve this and..
She's calling out to you, this
is a call; this is a call out, ' Cause everytime I fall down,
I reach out to you, and I'm losing all control now, and my hazard signs are all out,
I'm asking you, to show me what this life is all about.
He tells everyone a story, because he thinks his life
is boring, and he fights so you won't ignore him, because that's his biggest fear
and he cries, but you'll rarely see him do it.
He loves, but he's scared to use it.
So he hides behind the music, cause he likes it that way.
And he knows, he's so much more than worthless, he needs to find the surface, because
he's starting to get nervous.
He's calling out to you, this is a call; this is a call out
'Cause everytime I fall down, I reach out to you, and I'm losing all control now, and
my hazard signs are all out, I'm asking you, to show me what this life is all about.
Have you ever felt this way before?
'cause I don't wanna hide here anymore. Take me toa place where nothing's wrong and thanks for coming, shut the door.
They say someone out there sees us, Well if you're real then save me Jesus, cause
I've been here for far too long.
I wasn't meant to feel alone.
And now I'm calling out to you, this is a call;
this is a call out, 'Cause everytime I fall down, I reach out to you, and I'm losing all control now, and my hazard signs
are all out, I'm asking you, to show me what this life is all about.
Show me what this life is all about Show
me what this life is all about
